Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the stimulation of very specific points
(acupoints) on the body to bring the physical body
and emotions into a more perfect balance within one’s
self and with the environment. The hair-thin needles
used in acupuncture are one way the acupoints can be
stimulated.
Applied Kinesiology
Applied Kinesiology is based on the premise that muscles
are related to specific organs in the body. Muscle testing
is a non-invasive, functional neurological evaluation.
The use of A.K. originated within the chiropractic profession
and is a common approach to clinical practice.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy may be applied to the skin in a variety of
massage techniques or also inhaled. In either case the
therapy is based on the use of oils that have been naturally
extracted from herbs and flowers verified by scientific
research for their efficacy in disease prevention as well
as therapy for acute and chronic illness and disease.
Chiropractic Therapy
Performed by Doctors of Chiropractic, the practice
offers a broad spectrum of therapies from sedation-aided
manipulation to subtle adjustments; and from lifestyle

Craniosacral Therapy
A gentle, noninvasive, hands-on technique that is based
on observing, evaluating and restoring balance in the rhythmic
flow of spinal fluid through the skull and spine. It is
often used to enhance the body’s natural healing
abilities.
Deep Tissue Massage
A massage technique following the basic pattern of Swedish
massage but focusing on the deeper layers of muscle tissue.
The practitioner works to release tension in the body through
slow, deliberate strokes and deep pressure on areas where
the muscles are tight.
Feng Shui
Feng Shui is the Eastern art of living in harmony with
your environment for health and well-being. Practice of
this
ancient tradition involves attention to guidelines for
creating the optimum healthy living environment. It involves
proper location, placement and design of homes, offices,
furniture, windows, doors, decorations and artifacts.
Holistic Medicine
The words holistic and health are redundant, both coming
from the Anglo-Saxon root word for wholeness. When used
in the area of medicine, the word holistic defines an approach
to the whole person including physical, emotional, spiritual,
and environmental components.
Homeopathy
Widely practiced throughout Europe, homeopathy is a therapy
that uses miniscule doses of specially prepared natural
substances to stimulate the body’s healing processes.
It is based on the principle that “like cures like” and
that treatment must be based on the whole picture of physical/mental/spiritual
condition of the patient.
Iridology
The study of the colored part of the eye (called the iris)
to determine potential health problems. Iridologists believe
that changing patterns and markings in the iris can be
used to reveal emerging conditions in every part of the
body and to identify inherited weaknesses that may lead
to physical and emotional disorders.

Physical Therapy

Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese word for "universal life force." It
is an ancient form of healing that works with the flow
of energy from outside the patient’s body into the
areas where it is needed for healing, restoration, relaxation
and rejuvenation.

Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is by far the most well known technique
in modern massage therapy. Therapists use a pattern of
specific strokes and manipulations to achieve focused therapeutic
benefits. The goal of regular Swedish massage is to improve
circulation without exertion, properly flushing toxins
from the blood stream. Through stimulation of the skin,
it also soothes the nerves and reduces stress.
Traditional Chinese Medicine
A complete medical system based on the idea that “qi” or life energy,
