NJ Medivisits is a medical practice designed by Dr. Veejay Geria through which patients have the luxury of being seen by a physician anytime of the day or night in the comfort of their own home, office, or hotel. His staff is comprised of well-qualified, board-certified physicians that will be happy to deliver expedient and effective care in a courteous and compassionate manner by virtue of a modern day medical house call. They are equipped with the clinical skills and medical supplies needed to evaluate and treat you at home. Imagine the doctor’s office being brought to you! With the ability that NJ Medivisits has to treat any acute or chronic medical issues that you would normally see your primary care doctor for, why would you leave home, especially when you are sick?
Dr. Geria wanted to bring this type of service to his patients by turning back the hands of time. He considered how medicine used to be practiced, before busy doctor’s offices, complicated insurance policies, long lines at clinics, rushed office visits, and crowded emergency rooms. Somewhere along these channels of frustration, doctors began to loose sight of what mattered most… their patients. Dr. Geria describes how doctors and patients were able to develop trustworthy relationships and had all the time necessary to discuss, examine, diagnose, and treat their condition. The idea behind developing the NJMedivisits practice model is to minimize the understandable frustrations that both patients and physicians have grown accustomed to in busy modern day medical practices.
Patients can expect to receive excellent care in an unhurried atmosphere, evaluations with attention to detail, courteous and respectful attitudes, and trustworthy relationships. These are all important aspects of the doctor-patient relationship that we value and it is the philosophy of NJMedivisits staff to deliver these qualities to our patients.
Dr. Veejay Geria is a board-certified internal medicine physician licensed to practice medicine in the state of New Jersey. Dr. Geria maintains very strong roots in the garden state of New Jersey where he was born and raised. He received his medical degree in 2003, and then went on to complete his residency training at Overlook Hospital-UMDNJ in Summit, NJ. He has been practicing internal medicine for six years. The focus of his practice has been narrowed towards home care medicine. He spends the majority of his time providing medical house calls to sick patients in the convenience and comfort of their own homes.
Dr. Geria continues to seek excellence in his medical career. He currently serves as a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He received the Physician Recognition Award in 2006 from the American Medical Association. Dr. Geria is also an associate of the American College of Physicians; a recipient of the lifetime member award by Strathmore Who's Who National Registry of Outstanding Professionals; and serves as an active member of the American Academy of Home Care Physicians.
